What is CarmelFest?

Held annually around the Fourth of July, CarmelFest is Central Indiana’s signature celebration of Independence Day. It combines the warmth of a community festival with big entertainment energy—think delicious eats, an artsy marketplace, upbeat concerts, and one of the most anticipated fireworks shows in the region.

A Tradition Built by Community

Since its beginning in 1998, CarmelFest has grown into a cherished community celebration thanks to the dedication of local volunteers, the Rotary Club of Carmel, and strong support from area businesses and civic leaders. What started as a small-town gathering has become a major holiday event made possible by generous sponsorships, local donations, and passionate individuals who love bringing people together.

This spirit of community is what makes CarmelFest so special—and it’s why thousands return year after year to celebrate.

Parade July 4 at 10:30 AM

Kick off your Independence Day morning by lining the streets of downtown Carmel for the patriotic parade, filled with floats, marching bands, community groups, and more.

Fireworks July 4 at 9:45 PM Cap off the evening with a spectacular fireworks show lighting up the sky over Carmel. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets for the perfect view under the stars.

Food, Fun & Festivities

One of the best parts of CarmelFest is the food. From funnel cakes and kettle corn to BBQ, burgers, and refreshing lemonade, there’s something to satisfy every craving. Alongside the food court, you’ll find:

• Live Music Stages featuring local and regional performers

• KidZone activities for the youngest festival-goers

• Marketplace Vendors offering handmade goods, local art, and patriotic décor

• Games, contests, and more to keep the fun going all day
